Shipping & Returns, Terms & Conditions

Our shipping and handling fee covers the cost of postage and  packaging.

We ship charts in protective plastic sleeves in order that you receive them in excellent condition.

The shipping and handling fee may exceed the actual postage amount.

Shipping and handling fees and insurance (additional if selected) will be calculated and displayed in the shopping cart after you have selected the shipping destination. 

Our rates and shipping methods are described below.

USA and APO

We use the United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S) as our preferred postal carrier.

All domestic orders up to 13oz will be shipped using First Class mail, over 13oz will be sent by Priority Mail.  Additional shipping charges may be applied to heavy orders containing frames, floss bags, q-snaps, orders containing multiple heavy charts (such as Heaven and Earth Designs) multiple kits, large kits and where the items will not fit into a flat rate USPS priority mailer or where shipping costs exceed the shipping amount estimated in your order.  A handling fee may still apply to orders that incur additional shipping charges.

IMPORTANT - Insurance:

If you choose your order to be shipped without insurance, then we are unable to take responsibility in the event that the package is lost or damaged in the mail. We are not obliged to resend the package nor refund your order unless the insurance option is selected.  Our insurance carrier is Shipsurance.  In the event of a package that goes missing - our insurance carrier requires us to wait for 30 days (domestic packages) or 45 days (international packages) before accepting a claim for re-imbursement or replacement.  A signed and dated letter from the intended recipient stating that they have not received the package is mandatory and must be provided before we can start the claim process.

Canada

We use the United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S) as our preferred postal carrier.

All orders will be shipped using International First Class mail.

Due to the number of packages that are frequently delayed or lost we are no longer able to offer shipment of orders to the below listed countries.  If customers from the below countries wish to place an order they may do so but the delivery address must be an address not located within any of the countries below.  The following countries are not eligible for insurance by our insurer.


Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola (including Cabinda), Bangladesh, Barbados, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Chechnia, Congo, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea - Bissau, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, truck/rail shipments to and within Mexico other than as a connecting conveyance, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Papua/New Guinea, Paraguay, Qatar, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Venezuela, and Yemen. Russian and other Commonwealth of Independent States countries (includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

All Other Countries 

We use U.S.P.S as our preferred postal carrier.

Packages will be insured.

International customers please note that the shipping costs quoted in your order are for packages weighing up to 1 lb.  If heavier items are ordered (eg needlework frames, multiple kits, floss-a-way bags and some heavier charts etc) additional shipping charges may apply.  In those cases we will charge actual shipping costs. 

All packages are sent via Airmail unless requested otherwise.  Once the package has left here we are unable to control the speed of delivery.  Many times packages will arrive in Europe and many other overseas destinations within a week to 10 days. Packages can also take longer (3 weeks or more) and it is for this reason that we are unable to send a replacement package (for insured orders) until the insurance claim is processed (we are required to wait 45 days before filing a claim, and processing typically takes a further 2-3 weeks).

In the event of a package that goes missing - our insurance carrier (Shipsurance) requires us to wait for 30 days (domestic packages) or 45 days (international packages) before accepting a claim for re-imbursement or replacement.  A signed and dated letter from the intended recipient stating that they have not received the package is mandatory and must be provided before we can start the claim process - this letter MUST be received in our office before 60 days has passed from the date of shipment otherwise a claim and or reimbursement/reshipment will not be possible.

Customs and Other Charges

International customers are advised to check with their local customs agencies to determine if any additional customs charges, duties or taxes apply to the shipment within their country. ABC Stitch Therapy is not responsible for any of these additional costs.  

Returns Policy  

Unfortunately due to copyright restriction, charts cannot be returned. Please make your selections carefully.

We are also not able to accept returns on opened packages of beads or kits unless the kit is missing an item which should have been included by the manufacturer. Unless goods are faulty, we can only accept returns where the packaging of beads and kits has not been opened and ALL RETURNS must be made within 30 days.

Floss and fibers are also not accepted for returns. Please make your selections carefully.

If you are not satisfied with any other goods supplied, you may return them within 30 days for a refund. All returns must be in a condition suitable for resale. There is a 15% restocking fee on returned items and shipping costs are nonrefundable.  If an item is returned for exchange - additional shipping will be charged on the new item being sent.  If a package is returned to ABC Stitch Therapy due to a package being refused - shipping costs are not refundable and the 15% restocking fee is still applied.  No refunds can be made until the returned items are received in our store.  If a package is returned to us due to the customer entering an incorrect shipping address - additional shipping will be charge to resend the package to the correct address.

Please contact us first to obtain instructions and a returns number allocated. This will ensure a speedier return/refund/credit process and will avoid packages arriving in store without sufficient information.

Payment Methods

If you choose Payment by PAYPAL you will be redirected to the PayPal site for immediate payment. If you choose Payment by Credit Card, then your card will only be charged at the time of shipping.  If you do not wish to pay straight away then you should choose the credit card option.
